Understanding bipolar mood disorder


To get understand Bipolar Mood Disorder (BMD) it is essential to  be differentiated  it from mood swings or extreme emotions that changes  rapidly. Extreme emotions and mood swings are symptoms that can be present in other psychiatric disorders; however, BMD also involves changes in an individual’s cognitive functioning, bodily desires and physical behaviours.
                        
A person who affected with BMD their mood cannot be explained by their regular habits. The symptoms will sustain to weeks and months and shows huge impact on person’s ability to do their daily works. Because, as the name “Bipolar” shows – the two poles of moods (mania/extended temper and depression) need to be skilled within a person’s existence for the analysis of Bipolar to be made. Bipolar cannot be confirmed with the medical tests. However by any medical implications can show symptoms to similar in bipolar.
Therefore it is important to get accurate diagnosis. A person should consult a psychiatrist as the diagnosis of Bipolar can be difficult to be done.
